With its debut just around the corner, Kia’s new EV4 has been spotted testing in the Alps, offering a glimpse at what could be the brand’s next big hit. At first glance, this electric car could be the one we’ve been waiting for. Check out the video below.

It’s been about a year since Kia unveiled the EV4 during its first annual EV Day. The EV4 was showcased alongside Kia’s new affordable EV lineup, including the smaller EV3 and EV5 SUVs.

Kia calls the EV4 an “entirely new type of EV sedan.” Its unique lines distinguish it from others in its class.

Although its four-door design suggests it’s a sedan, Kia said the EV4 is in a league of its own. Kia’s new EV4 features its “Opposites United” design theme, which is shown in its newer models, but the EV4 still stands apart.

The low, wide stance, long silhouette, and added roof spoiler give it a sports car-like feel, but Kia infused its own unique style.

Kia’s new electric car has been spotted several times ahead of its debut. A hatchback version was also caught out in public, likely aimed at the European market.

As testing wraps up, a new video from CarSpyMedia gives us our best look yet at Kia’s new entry-level electric car.

The first thing you will notice is the new vertical headlight design peeking through the camouflage. From its looks, Kia’s new EV4 electric car will retain much of the design shown in the concept from last October.

As the EV4 comes around the bend, it appears much cleaner than the concept, with smoother angles. Although the back is still mostly covered in the video, it’s expected to be very similar to the concept. At the end, you can even see Kia’s new electric car towing a trailer as it glides down a hill.

Inside, the EV4 will feature Kia’s new ccNC infotainment system, which features dual 12.3″ driver display and navigation screens. It also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Like its newer models, the interior is expected to have a minimalistic design.

Kia is expected to officially unveil the production version by the end of 2024, with deliveries starting next year.

Although Kia has not announced prices, the EV4 is expected to start at around $35,000 to $40,000.

At that price, it would be among the most affordable EVs in its segment, undercutting Tesla’s Model 3 (~$40,000) and Hyundai’s IONIQ 6 (~$38,000).

As most automakers target the mid-size SUV segment, Kia’s EV4 could find a market with those looking for smaller, more affordable electric cars.
