Manhunt after three women and teen girl shot dead in Memphis

US

Police are hunting a man in the US after three women and a teenage girl were fatally shot in a domestic violence spree.

A second teenage girl was also seriously hurt.

Officers in Memphis, Tennessee, attended a shooting in Howard Drive at 9.22pm on Saturday (3.22am UK).

It’s there they found a woman who had been killed from an apparent gunshot wound.

Investigators have linked the attack to two others – a woman and 13-year-old girl shot dead, and a 15-year-old girl critically injured, in Field Lark Drive, and another woman killed in Warrington Road.

Police want to catch 52-year-old Mavis Christian Jr, with local, state, and federal agencies hunting for him.

Officers have not said when each shooting took place, but the public is warned not to approach the suspect, who was said to be driving a white 2017 Chevrolet Malibu.

The shootings are believed to be domestic violence incidents.
